RESUMO
Esta pesquisa é um estudo comparativo entre as características da linguagem hermética nas pranchas da obra alquímica publicada em 1677 chamada Mutus Liber, com o desenvolvimento atual da Infografia no campo do Design da Informação. Buscando identificar semelhanças e diferenças entre as representações visuais presente nas gravuras alquímicas com os Infográficos contemporâneos. Dessa maneira, o objetivo desse trabalho, é levantar possíveis contribuições ao repertório do designer gráfico, assim como, explorar este peculiar sistema de representação em seu contexto histórico.

ABSTRACT
This research is a comparative study of the characteristics of the hermetic language in the boards of alchemical works published in 1677 called Mutus Liber, with the current development of Infographics in the field of Information Design. Trying to identify similarities and differences between the visual representations in this alchemical engravings with contemporary Infographics. Thus, our objective is to get out possible contributions to the repertoire of graphic designer, as well as explore this peculiar system of representation in its historical context.
